Reginald Northway died from wounds on 14th September, 1917, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 12th London battalion was part of 168 Brigade, 56th Division that had been involved in the fighting on the Western Front since early 1916, including the Battle of the Somme in the summer and autumn of that year and more recently duringthe Third Battle of Ypres.
